Gentrack signs watertight deal

Outpost Central and Gentrack have partnered to deliver real-time water consumption information to consumers.

Gentrak has designed a specialist CRM solution for water utilities that can be integrated with monitoring technologies such as those offered by Outpost Central. The companies believe that the integrated solution will “transform” how customers use water.

James Docking, Gentrack CEO, said, “Our focus is on providing utilities with the smart CRM tools needed to support new levels of consumer education around water conservation and stepped pricing, while also bringing to the table new monitoring technologies that deliver real value to consumers and utilities.”

Gentrack Marketing Manager, Aaron Baker, told IT Brief that while the solution is currently planned for use in Australia, the capability is there to offer New Zealand customers a similar service.

“The capabilities are definitely there for New Zealand. We’re currently looking at Australia because of the vast opportunities on offer there but a similar initiative for New Zealand is on the cards as well.”
