TomTom launches live traffic updates
Mon, 18th Oct 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

TomTom has launched Live Services in New Zealand for its Go Live GPS range which delivers constantly changing navigation and guidance to your GPS system.

The HD Traffic function gives drivers the fastest way to zip around the traffic with constantly updated traffic information across New Zealand. Built on AA data, it combines incident and flow data from multiple sources to deliver a comprehensive picture of traffic anywhere. Traffic is updated every two minutes.

A Safety Camera service includes real-time safety camera reporting and sharing allowing users to keep each other informed about mobile safety cameras.

A QuickGPSfix feature i9s said to speed up the time it takes to fix your GPS position – “helping you to set off within 30 seconds” – even when the GPS signal is poor.

There’s also a TomTom Weather service gives you local daily and five-day forecasts.

The TomTom Go Live 1000 and TomTom Go Live 1050 World will be available in late October and include a one year subscription to all TomTom Live services.
