Those among the subset of Mass Effect fans and iPhone/iPod Touch owners can download the first issue of the Mass Effect: Redemption comic for free until the end of the day.

It’s the same comic included in the collector’s edition of Mass Effect 2, only in a digital format. Each panel of the comic fills the iPhone’s screen, and you can browse the entire comic one panel at a time in much the same manner as you would browse a photo album. The comic consists of 94 individual panels.

To pick up your copy, simply search for ‘Mass Effect: Redemption’ on the app store. From tomorrow it will cost US$0.99c (which typically converts to NZ$1.29 on the app store). It’s the first in a four-part series set shortly after the opening events of Mass Effect 2.
