It’s being reported this morning that the highly-anticipated New Zealand launch of iPhone 4 will not be happening.
According to a Herald report, Apple's deal with Vodafone looks off and the iPhone 4 won't be available from New Zealand stores, only online via Apple.
All mention of the handset has been removed from Vodafone’s website.
Telecommunications Review has left messages with Vodafone about the situation but the company has yet to return our calls.
It’s also being reported that retail chain JB Hi-Fi would be selling the iPhone, though this has yet to be confirmed.
Update: Vodafone has responded to our calls, only offering, "No comment. You have to speak to Apple."
Update 2: JB Hi-Fi has said that it isn't selling the iPhone 4 today. The Queen Street store hasn't been told by Apple when to expect the launch and employees are only taking customer details for now, promising to call back with details at a later date.
Update 3: As of 9:30am, the iPhone 4 banner is back up on Vodafone's website but there are still no firm details regarding today's launch. Twitter is alight with rumours of a midday launch.

Update 4: A Vodafone store in St Lukes retail park has said it will be selling the iPhone 4 from midday today.
