Telecom is offering free mobile TV to customers on its XT Network until November 30th.
The service is available via the WAP platform TWorld, which is installed on the range of XT Network cellphones.
Mobile TV can be accessed free for the next three months by both prepaid and postpaid customers, although the former will need to be in credit. No data will be deducted from customer’s data allowance when they are using the mobile TV service.
Telecom spokesperson Rebecca Earle says after November 30th the service will be offered as either a weekly or monthly subscriber service, with pricing to be announced in the next couple of months. Among the programmes available to download are episodes of Outrageous Fortune and the US sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Telecom has previously offered a video clip service on its CDMA network.
